Force Gurkha 5 Door Launch in April, Check the Design

Force Motors has been working on a 5-door version of the Gurkha for quite some time now. Test mules of the 5-door Gurkha have been spotted several times over the years. It has now been officially announced that the 5-door version will be launched at the media ride event, which is scheduled to take place at the end of this month.

Ahead of its launch, the company has once again teased the upcoming 4×4 SUV on its social media handle. Along with the new 5-door version, it appears that Force will also update the existing 3-door version of the Gurkha. Once it is launched, the 5-door Gurkha will compete against such as Maruti Jimny and the upcoming 5-door Mahindra Thar.

5 Door Force Gorkha Exterior

The latest teaser images of the 5-door Gurkha show only the silhouette of the vehicle, just like the previous teaser. Similar to its 3-door version, the 5-door Force Gurkha has a boxy profile with tall pillars, a flat roofline, and a large greenhouse area. Each side is divided into three window panels.

One noticeable difference between the latest teaser and previous spy shots is the absence of square headlights. The teaser shows the Force 3-door using the signature round LED headlamps with integrated round LED DRLs seen on the Gurkha. The teaser also shows a vertical LED tail lamp cluster at the rear.

5 Door Force Gorkha

Apart from the 16-inch wheels found on the 3-door Gurkha, the 5-door version is expected to feature 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. The front and rear bumpers may also be updated. The 5-door Gurkha is longer than its 3-door version. Visual highlights like tailgate mounted spare wheel, roof mounted luggage rack, jerry can, and snorkel add to the appeal of this lifestyle adventure vehicle.

5 Door Force Gurkha Engine

The Gurkha 5-door is expected to use the existing 2.6-litre 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine. It produces 90 bhp of power and 250 Nm of torque. It is exclusively paired with a 5-speed gearbox. Power is evenly distributed to all four wheels through a low range transfer case. The off-roading capabilities of the mechanical locking differential have also been improved.
