Maruti Suzuki has increased the prices of its Swift hatchback by Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 39,000, depending on the variant. The company will launch the next generation Swift in India in the next few weeks, but the current model’s prices have been reduced. The ZXI+ variant saw the highest increase of Rs. 39,000, while VXi, VXi AMT, and VXi CNG variants were priced at Rs. 15,000 more. The prices of ZXI, ZXI AMT, and ZXI+ variants increased by Rs. 25,000.
How Much Price Increased?
Despite the price hike, the features of the Maruti Swift have remained unchanged. It has a 5 speed manual or a 5 speed AMT gearbox and a 90 hp, 113 Nm, 1.2 litre, 4 cylinder petrol engine.
This new swift price increase will last about a month, after which the new generation model will be launched in mid May 2024. It is still being determined whether the old model’s price will come down again when the new variant is launched.
The 2024 Swift will be one of Maruti’s biggest launches. It will feature a new design, interior, and a new 1.2 liter, 3 cylinder petrol engine. The new Swift will also have a large 9 inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Six airbags will be offered in all related variants. However, the pricing for the new generation Swift has yet to be announced.
