Skoda, the most popular Czech Republic car manufacturer in the domestic market, has announced a huge discount on its Kodiaq car. In this article, we will look at the details of the discount that the company has announced for which variant. Skoda offers the 7 Seater Kodiaq SUV in three trims: Style, Sportline, and L&K. However, the company currently only offers this car in the high-end variant, which has seen a drastic price reduction.
The Skoda Kodiaq L&K variant is now priced at Rs. 39.99 lakhs, a discount of Rs. 2 lakhs from its original price of Rs. 41.99 lakhs. The company has not changed the car’s design, features, or engine, so the Skoda Kodiaq will retain all its features and performance. It has a 2.0 litre four cylinder turbo petrol engine that produces 190 horsepower and 320Nm of torque.
The engine is mated to a 7 speed dual clutch automatic transmission, and power is delivered to all four wheels. The Kodiaq SUV is now India’s flagship offering. It competes with other SUVs in the domestic market, such as the Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian, Hyundai Tucson, and MG Gloster. Skoda has been expanding its range of cars occasionally and launching new cars to cater to different market segments.
The company is busy introducing new compact SUVs like the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and Tata Nexon. As part of this, the company is also testing a compact SUV that is sub 4 meters in size and is reported to come with a 1.0 litre three cylinder turbo petrol engine. The details of this car are yet to be known, but it is based on the same MQB-A0-IN platform as Kushaq.
The new Skoda 4 meter compact SUV is expected to be between Rs. 9 lakhs to Rs. 14 lakhs (Ex-showroom). Skoda has yet to reveal the name of the new 4 meter compact SUV to be launched in the domestic market, but it is expected to hit the market by 2025. This SUV will likely also be exported to other markets such as South America, South East Asia and Africa.
