Many people who travel with a large family prefer to use diesel cars due to their torque, power, and fuel efficiency. However, with the introduction of stricter emission rules and a 10-year ban on diesel cars, people’s preferences have started to change. As a result, car companies like Maruti Suzuki and Honda have completely removed diesel engines from their product portfolio.
Yet, Hyundai, Tata, and Mahindra continue to produce diesel-powered cars. Three new 7-seater diesel SUVs are set to launch in the market. Hyundai Alcazar Facelift
The 2024 Hyundai Alcazar facelift is set to go on sale in May or June. It will mark the company’s third product launch of the year, following the updated Creta and Creta N Line. The updated Alcazar features design details borrowed from the new Creta, including an updated grille, bumper, and headlamps with DRLs.
The vehicle’s side profile remains largely the same, apart from the new alloy wheels. The Alcazar’s dashboard is similar to the new Creta, and the interior theme and seat upholstery may be new. Additionally, the Alcazar comes equipped with Level 2 ADAS technology.
However, its engine setup has not changed. It will continue to be available in 1.5-litre 4-cylinder turbo diesel and 2.0-litre 4-cylinder petrol engines.
MG Gloster Facelift
The MG Gloster facelift is a great choice for those seeking a 7-seater diesel SUV. It is expected to be launched in the second half of 2024. The majority of the cosmetic changes will be made to the front end. The SUV will have a larger front grille featuring vertically mounted LED headlamps connected by LED DRLs and an updated front bumper.
The cabin will likely have some upgrades, such as new colour-themed upholstery. The 2024 MG Gloster facelift will offer a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine option with a 4WD layout and a 2.0-litre diesel engine with an RWD setup.
New Toyota Fortuner
The new generation of Toyota Fortuner will be launched globally later this year, followed by its launch in India. This SUV will have many changes in its design, features, and mechanism. The 2024 Toyota Fortuner will be based on the IMV platform, which supports multiple body types and engines, including ICE and hybrid.
The new SUV model will be powered by a 2.8-litre turbo diesel engine with 48v mild hybrid technology. According to reports, the new Fortuner will also come equipped with ADAS technology.
