World First CNG Bike, Do you know when the launch is?

Bajaj Auto will launch the World’s First CNG Bike, which will reduce fuel and operating costs by 50% to 65%; the World’s First CNG Motorcycle will likely be launched in April or June 2024. The Indian Automotive industry expects it to be a revolutionary bike that will replace petrol bikes if it is successful in terms of sales.

Bajaj, the Indian two-wheeler manufacturer, is all set to launch the world’s first Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) bike between April and June in the second quarter of 2024, according to the company’s managing director, Rajeev Bajaj. He claimed that the motorcycle would reduce fuel and operating costs by 50% to 65% and significantly reduce emissions. In an interview with CNBC TV 18, Rajeev Bajaj also announced that the new CNG bike will outperform the Hero Honda bikes regarding fuel efficiency.

The CNG prototype is claimed to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 50%, carbon monoxide emissions by 75% and non-methane hydrocarbon emissions by 90%. The company aims to focus on popular brands like Pulsar instead of premium bikes. In this regard, they plan to launch the biggest Pulsar in the financial year 2025.

Bajaj has also launched the updated Pulsar NS125 in India. The new Pulsar NS125X is priced at Rs.1,04,922, which is Rs.5,000 more than its older model. The new Pulsar bike will compete with Hero Extreme 125R and TVS Raider 125 in the market. The muscular design of the motorcycle remains the same, but the company has made some updates to the headlight internals and added thunder-shaped LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL).

The bike comes with a fully digital instrument console with smartphone connectivity. The new Bajaj Pulsar allows the bike rider to access SMS, call notifications, phone battery levels, and other notifications on the go. USB port and anti-lock braking system are also available in Pulsar NS1625. The 2024 Pulsar NS125 is powered by a 125cc single-cylinder engine, capable of producing 11.8 bhp of power and 11 Nm of torque, and comes with a 5-speed gearbox.
